How much does a pickleball fence cost?

Every court is different, so we quote in person and in writing. Here is what moves the number and why mesh usually wins over the life of the court.

What drives the price

Linear feet

A single court perimeter is roughly 160 to 200 linear feet depending on run-off. Baseline-only barriers and dividers between courts cost less than a full perimeter.

Height

The standard low court barrier is the most economical. Taller runs, where a site calls for them, cost more per foot.

Gates

Auto-locking gates are priced per opening. Double-leaf gates for equipment cost more than single.

Surface

Sleeves are core-drilled in concrete or asphalt and set in pavers, stone, decks or grass. Each takes a different amount of time.

Colour

Black is standard. Other colours may carry a small premium depending on availability.

Access

Courts a long carry from the truck, or on a steep lot, take longer to install.

Mesh vs chain link over 10 years

Cheaper fence, more expensive court.

Chain link can look cheaper on the first quote. Then it rusts, the top rail sags, the resurfacing contractor charges extra to work around it, and the HOA gets letters about the eyesore. Mesh costs more per foot than bare galvanized chain link and less than vinyl-coated chain link with a windscreen, and it never needs painting, patching or cutting out. When the court needs resurfacing you lift it out and put it back.

Have questions?

A few of the questions we hear most. See the full FAQ for more.

Do you need a fence around a pickleball court?

Yes. A pickleball fence enhances safety by containing balls within the court, preventing interruptions during play and stopping balls from rolling onto neighbouring courts, into landscaping or toward a pool or parking lot. It also helps define the court area, making it easier to focus on the game without distractions.

What surfaces can you install on?

Concrete, asphalt, pavers, stone, travertine, wood decks and grass. Poles sit in small sleeved holes that are capped flush when a section is removed.

Is the consultation free?

Yes. We provide free consultations where we assess your court's needs and customize the fencing solution in terms of layout, colour and height. We measure, show samples and leave you a firm written price. There is no obligation.

What kind of warranty comes with the fence?

Life Saver Pool Fence offers a 100-year warranty on its pool fences, and similar guarantees apply to the pickleball fence, ensuring long-lasting durability and performance. We walk through the full terms at your consultation and provide them in writing.
